Home again, home again, jiggity jig!
Tummy tuck today with the same surgeon/place I had my breast lift 1.5 years ago. Well technically not. Same surgeon, Dr. Usha Rajagopal, but my surgeon's surgicenter is under construction so she's performing her surgeries at a different surgicenter several LARGE city blocks away. Chris and I weren't nearly as impressed with this place as we were with Dr. Usha's in-house facility and amazing staff but, all told, it was still a perfectly fine experience. Dr. Usha's patients are just extremely spoiled by her surgical staff and accomodations, in my opinion. I know I am. :)
Very very sore (tightened muscle girdle) and icky drains but shot full of Demerol and propped in bed. I love love love my surgeon. She removed 2lbs of skin and lipo'd out over 1lb of fat, some of which she purified and reinjected into my face to restore some lost "youth' (stolen from weight loss). I have marks all over me (including my face) I can't seem to get off though, not with soap, mineral oil, makeup remover, nuthin.' Grr. (Where's the Goo-Gone? Maybe WD-40?). But the puffage I can see through the ink looks loverly. Only issue is that one side of my upper lip is numb (and NO, I didn't have my lips done...just my upper cheek "apples", the laugh lines next to my nose/mouth, and the depressions right next to some pooches I'd be hard-pressed not to call the beginning of marionette-jowls. I suspect she might have hit a nerve with the needle when she was puffing the laugh lines. Oh well...maybe it'll start to tingle soon.
Ooooh, and did I mention...I have a brand-new belly button? Somewhere underneath this gauze, supposedly. Hrm. Well, I guess it's the same belly button I've always had but it got pulled through a new hole and got re-centered (it had gone off-sides when Julia was IN MAH BELLEH veering off to towards my right side). Anyway, maybe it won't look like Crater Lake now.
BUT the best part: finally, after two days of antibacterial surgical wash on my body/face and no grooming products allowed, deodorant and moisturizer is *such* bliss! :)
OK. Blogging on Demerol is a bit of a challenge so I'm gonna go before I have to untangle my fingers and/or hit my head on the desk passing out. Me, my puffy face and surgically-reduced tummy signing off for now.
Champagne wishes and Vicodin dreams, mah peeps! xoxo
p.s. Drains...are the hardcore NASTAY.
p.p.s. None of these pics or links to pics are of me or anything attached to me. I'll do us ALL a favor and wait for the good lookin' "after" shots, m'kay? ;)

SO glad you're home and recovering. No more, right? That was it?
Yeah, pretty sure that's it. Unless there are complications and I have to go back to fix them. But no, I don't think I need anything else done.
The fat transfer actually takes 2-3 passes to make sure all of it "takes" so I'll have to go back one or two more times for that, but those are just little needle stabs. Not big incisions like the tummy tuck.
